An established dog trainer in Portsmouth

Having been animal-mad since the day I was born, I’ve always known my life would see me work closely with dogs and their owners. During my childhood and teen years I would look after and exercise other people’s dogs and horses for them. It was not until I owned my own property in my late 20s that I could finally become a dog-owner and feel complete. The pressing demands of the bills however still meant that I could not pursue a career with animals as I would have loved.

 

Once in my forties I was determined to make a change. I obtained my dog psychology qualification and also completed advanced training in Jan Fennell’s ‘Dog Listener’ methods. I later finally achieved my personal goal of training at the Dog Psychology Centre in L.A. with Cesar Millan (The Dog Whisperer). Through working with Cesar I also gained access to further training possibilities and have since studied a number of times with international dog training expert Brian Agnew.

With the necessary veterinary endorsements of my practice, I also obtained Professional Membership of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP), I am at long last able to work with the closest things to my heart – dogs and people!
